Meet the Band

Debbie Riddle- (Lead / Back Up   Vocals, Percussion)

Debbie is the heart and soul of Encore. She is a dynamic performer that encourages crowd participation and  keeps the party hopping. Her strong, commanding lead vocals contribute to Encore's unique sound and her harmonies are smooth and soulful.

Todd Beal- (Bass Guitar )

Todd has a music degree from Furman University and has played with many regional orchestras, including the Greenville Symphony for over 20 years. He toured around the world as the staff bassist with Ringling Brothers and Barnum &  Bailey circus in the early 90s and has played  on many jazz and Classical recordings. His driving licks create the backbone of  Encore's music.

Terry Rhodes- (Keyboards)

Born in a musical family, Terry began playing piano at age four. , He now  plays a variety of instruments and is knowledgeable in the audio/video aspect of music. He brings a wealth of musical talent to Encore as our newest member.  Though  heavily influenced by the Motown sound, he has played in a variety of groups of all types of music.

Duane Malphrus- (Drums)

Duane is from Greenville, SC and has been playing professionally for 35 years. Majoring in music at USC and Miami University, Duane has toured with many bands from jazz to rock and salsa. Having been on tour with The Drifters and The Platters and many regional bands, he has years of experience with all styles of music. He also plays in several local symphonies and different groups. He can also be seen if you look at the drummer in the movie Dirty Dancing . "That was as fun as it gets" says Duane.

Mike Costa- (Guitar, Lead and Back Up Vocals)

Mike is a true chord master and brings a smooth rhythm guitar, hot leads, and an occasional harmonica to our  music. In addition, he sings lead and provides back up vocals that blend well with Debbie, Kenny and Ken.

Kenny Burger - (Lead / Backup Vocals,  Alto and Tenor Saxophone)

Kenny is a true showman who knows how to get the crowd to the dance floor. His soulful vocal style and performance  bring excitement to the room. In addition, his saxophone is a valuable part of the great Encore horn section. His playing adds depth and soul to the music and his stinging solos will send chills down your back. Kenny, Ken and Ron work naturally together to blend the distinctive horn arrangements that are prevalent in so many Encore's songs.

Ron Davis - (Trumpet)

Ron, is another reason that Encore's great horn section is so unique. He is a true professional who has performed with some of the best musicians around. Ron's years of experience are evident in his playing and horn arrangements. Together, he, Ken and Kenny team to make Encore a very exciting experience.

Ken Wood- (Lead / Back Up  Vocals, Trumpet, Blues Harp)

Ken plays with several groups around the Upstate of South Carolina and brings his talented trumpet and harp playing as well as his great vocals to Encore. He is a perfect addition to Encore's great  horn section and can add to almost any song with a bluesy  harp lead.
